I was born in Haiti. I attended L'Ecole St. Michel des Verrettes, L'Ecole Externat La Providence, College Marie-Anne & La Faculte d'Ethnologie (P-au-P, Haiti). I have a Master's Degree in Sociology and a PhD in International Relations & Comparative Politics from the University of Mississippi (Oxford, Mississippi). Prior to working at IRSC, I worked as a Project Coordinator for a Smoking Prevention and Cessation research project at the University of Memphis (Tennessee). I also worked as a Research Coordinator at the Center for Health Economics and Policy of the University of Texas Health Sciences (San Antonio, TX). Finally, I was an adjunct instructor of Sociology and American Politics at Brevard Community College (Melbourne, FL).
I joined the Indian River State College in 2004 as an Assistant Professor of Sociology. I am currently teaching the following courses: Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, Multicultural Issues and, Model United Nations. I served as the Discipline Leader for the Sociology Department from 2005-2010 and, as the Chair of the Department of Social Sciences from 2010 to 2014. I also served as the Faculty Advisor to the IRSC's Model United Nations Club from 2006 to present. |
